Here is Carol’s story ❤️
As most of you know over the past few years I’ve lost all my Whippets and Lurcher to old age.
I’m running the London Marathon 2021 for Candy Cane to help other Whippets and Greyhounds escape the terrible meat trade.
Please give whatever you can, every little helps.
Running in memory of ELVIS, ROCKY, DARCY, HARRY, BEAU and SAMMY.. not forgetting OZZY and MERLIN.
I only started running in January 2019 after losing my way after losing Beau. I got through couch to 5k and then went onto Parkruns. I entered the VLM not expecting anything but on my 2nd attempt i got in on a ballot place. At that point i hadnt run more than 10k. Ive still never run a marathon distance to date, so this is an unknown challenge.
