Riki is a gentle, sweet boy who is very nervous at first but slowly comes out of his shell once he gets to know you. He loves to play and is eager for affection, but at first, he may shake or back away when touched.
Riki spent four years in a shelter in China before coming to us, so the world can feel overwhelming for him. He hasn’t been on walks yet, as we always give our dogs time to decompress after such a long journey. Many dogs from China have never had the chance to explore on a lead before.
Riki will need a patient, understanding home where safety and TLC are a priority. He may be a little “project” dog at first, but with love and patience, he has the potential to become a cheeky, happy companion.
Thankfully, most dogs from China are resilient and confident, and while Riki is a sensitive soul, his heart is full of love. With the right adopter, he will blossom beautifully. ❤️
