The most beautiful little soul, Freya, is searching for her forever home!
Originally rescued from the Dog Meat Trade in China, she is now in the UK, ready to find a special family. Freya has no movement in her back legs—the bones are completely fused—but she uses them as a walking aid for her front legs. Despite this, she is in no pain and gets around just fine, walking and running as if nothing is wrong!
Once she trusts you, she is the sweetest, happiest, and most gentle soul.
When she goes to the toilet, she stands, so she will need wiping afterward to keep her back end and legs clean and comfortable. If she has an upset tummy, things can get a bit messy, but she is very good about letting you clean her.
Freya is house-trained, great with all dogs, and has zero prey drive, so she could potentially live with cats. She would likely do best in an adult-only home and must have another dog for companionship.
She enjoys her meals but isn’t greedy, and her treats are limited to help keep her digestion steady. She’s a petite little girl, weighing just 16kg.
Against all odds, Freya made it out of China, and now she is absolutely loving life. She has a big voice in the morning and gets so excited when she sees you!
She will need at least a couple of visits with her new family before going home—this is non-negotiable as she must feel completely comfortable.
