Candy is the reason that Candy Cane Rescue was founded. This sweet girl had survived a meat truck, recovered from multiple injuries, including two broken legs, and was in a Chinese kennels waiting to come to the UK to start her new life. The day before she was due to fly she was killed by a larger dog. She was so close to knowing the love of her own family that it seemed so cruel. Because of Candy many greyhounds will be saved and housed safely in our own kennels and her memory will live on. ❤️
